There is also some stockpiling of topsoil in both areas.
(see Exhibit C).In the future, the operator has indicated that gravel
extraction will commence upon demand. There will however, be a stock-
piling of screened gravel. In total, extraction of gravel will not
exceed 70,000 tons per year. The average depth of topsoil ranges from
3" to 12" cahich overlies approximately 20-30 feet of gravel and sand.
Therefore, maximum pit depths are on the order of 30 ft with the average
being approximately 20 feet. The mining plan will consist of topsoil
removal by a front end loader and the stockpiling of the topsoil. The
additional topsoil will be stockpiled in previous stockpile areas. The
gravel will be removed up to depths of 30 ft. and will be transported to
the screener and crusher for processing. No water usage is anticipated
at the mine site except for irrigation when reseeding is completed. No
surface or ground water problems have existed In the existing excavations,
Therefore, no other water problems are anticipated. Mining operation:
should be intermittant and will mainly be limited to the suu¢ner months.
As the mining progresses from the west to the east topsoil will be
redistributed according tothe reclamation plan site later herein.
