EXHIBIT B - MINING PLAN
Development and mining will utilize an existing edit
that has been refurbished. This will allow the use of the
old existing dump for ore storage, surface facilities and
for waste disposal.
The mine development headings will be driven 9 feet
high by 10 feet wide in cross-section and utilize conven-
tional drill-blast techniques in conjunction with 1 yard
loaders and 5 ton rubber tired trucks. Rock support will
be by conventional rock bolting and timbering wherever
required. Longhole drilling will be conducted in the drifts
as the drifts advance toward the target areas.
M{nin$ will commence as soon as the development is
• complete for each stoping area. A modified room and pillar
stopi.ng method will be used to mine the ore. The stoping
method is similar to the one presently used in the Uravan
Mineral Belt where ore and waste pillars are left for sup-
port and a method known as "split shooting"_is used to
separate the ore from the waste. The equipment and m{nines
techniques described in the development phase will be
utilized i.n the mining phase.
Three ventilation holes are planned for this lease
block with one already drilled and in operation. These vent
holes will require additional power lines installed.
No provisions are being made for water control since
there is no indication of water in any area to be mined.
