The water balance uses the same approach as approved for Amendment No. 8
and reflects the ADR Expansion, current ore loading schedules, VLF design and associated solution
management.
The results of this water balance demonstrate that there is sufficient solution storage capacity within the Phase
I, II/III, and IV PSSAs and the external storage pond to safely contain the predicted process solutions, monthly
precipitation, instantaneous 12 hour VLF drain down volume and 100 year 24 hour storm volume.
As per our discussions, it is CC&V's understanding that this water balance addresses the Division's questions
with regard to the revised water balance and the ADR Expansion.
CC&V agrees with using the recently published value of $0.19 per cubic foot for building demolition costs in
determining the financial warranty for the ADR Expansion. Use of this cost modifies the demolition costs and
associated administrative costs to a total of $103,464 for the financial warranty for the ADR Expansion. This
amount may be deducted from the $488,095 surplus warranty currently held by the Division of Minerals and
Geology, leaving a remaining surplus warranty voluntarily posted by CC&V of $384,631.
Please contact me at (719) 689-405E
Since
.-~-
Phil Barnes
Manager Environmental Resources
xc: Bill Johnston, Teller County Plan
Enclosure: Phase IV Valley Leach F
should you have questions.
Permit #: f~-«~fl ~ ~w Confidental?:
Class: ~ r Type-Se ~
From: To;~~1~-
Doc.
