M-2001-001
Sirs/Madam,
Additional issues I have noted in the amended permit are:
exhibit page 28: top of the page under number 1. The statement that
"Walther elk nor beaver are identified as common species...eto. 1 know for a FACT that
there are both elk (sometimes whole herds) and beaver on that property. Just yesterday
(lo substantiate my observations) I took a walk to the Southeast end of the Truelsen
property and observed several freshly downed trees/bushes that a beaver was
responsible for. For the last three years there has been at least one beaver at that
location. Also, today on his way to Rico for work, my husband saw a herd of elk, 15 to
20, in the VERY location where the proposed pit is to go. Not that this misinformation
on the permit really amounts to much, but you should be aware that it is incorrect, from
personal observation. We have at least one beaver on our property and, in four years
he has created several "ponds" on our property, and so far is continuing to "work like a
beaver" to keep up his interests.
Sincerely, ~,~~~~
Pete & Cheri Robinson
