h ~` <br />..I.' <br />' iU: <br />' l <br /> <br />~. In connection with the performance of work under this permit, the <br />permittee agrees as folloxs: <br />e. The permittee vi 1 not discriminate against any employee or <br />applicant for em loyment beta 9f race, creed, color, or <br />national origin. The perm ill take affirmative action <br />to ensure that applicants empldyed, and that employees ' <br />are treated during empl t, without regard to their race, <br />creed, color, or nation origin. Such action shall include, <br />but not be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, <br />demotion or trapa~far; recruitment or recruitment advertising; <br />layoff or termination; rates of pay or other forme of compensa- <br />tion; and selebtion for training, including apprenticeship. <br />The permittee agrees to post in conspicuous places, available <br />to employees and applicants for employment, notices to be pro- <br />vided by the Forest Service setting forth the provisions of <br />this non-discrimination clause. <br />b. The permittee will, in all soliciations or advertisements for <br />employees placed by or on behalf of the permittee, stale that <br />all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employ- <br />ment without regard to race, creed, color, or national origin. <br /> <br />c. The permittee will send to each labor union or representative <br />of workers with which he has a collective bargaining agreement <br />or other contract or understanding, a notice, to be provided <br />by the Forest Service, advising the said labor union or workers' <br />representative of the permittee's commitments under this sec- <br />tion, and shall poet copies of the notice Sn conspicuous places <br />available to employees and applicants for employment. <br />d. The permittee will comply with all provisions of Executive <br />Order No. 10925 of March 6, 1961, and of the rules, regula- <br />tions, and relevant orders of the President's Committee on <br />Equal Employment Opportunity created thereby. <br />e. The permittee will ilrrnish all information and reports required <br />by Executive Order 10925 of Match 6, 1961, and by the rules, <br />regulations, and orders of the said Committee, or pursuant <br />thereto, and will permit access to hie books, records, and <br />accounts by the Porest Service and the Committee for purposes <br />of investigation to ascertain compliance with such rules, <br />regulations, and. orders. <br />f. In the event of the permittee's non-compliance xith the non- <br />discrimination Disuses of this permit or with any of the <br />said rules, regull.ations, or orders, this permit may be can- <br />celled in whole or in part and the permittee may be declared <br />ineligible Por further government permits in accordance with <br />procedures authorized in Executive Order No. 10925 of March <br />6, 1961, and such other sanctions may be imposed and reme- <br />dies invoked as provided in the said Executive Order or by <br />rule, regulation, or order of the President's Committee an <br />Equal Employment Opportunity, or as otherwise provided by law. <br />R2-2']00-10 <br />5/61 <br /> <br />
