• i Exhibit A. - Le~,al Description The area is 9.9 acres located in part of Lot 4,Sec 5-T23S- R48W and part of the SW4 of the SW4 of Sec 32-T22S-R48W of6th PM in Bent County, Colorado. Exhibit B- Min ink, Plan The site will be entered from the County Road via an ~xisting trail road used by the County to access their own gra el pit and by the land owner to care for their range cattle.i Mining will generally proceed from west to east. The thin layer of rock ladened topsoil will be removed and sto kpiled in an orderly berm along the north boundary of the si e. Ver- tical side slopes will be backfilled with fines to a :1 slope during the course of mining. The depth of mining will not exceed 10-15' and in most places be about 9' due to t shallow gravel layer noted in the area. Mining will be done with a dozer and one or more front end loaders, a rock crusher and screen, and necessary cony yors for separating material. The life of the mine is expe ted to be 1 - 2 years. Exhibit E- Reclamation Plan An on-site inspection reveals that the topsoil layer v ries from almost none to about eight inches of topsoil hori on. At best the surface layer of topsoil material is heavi y laden with gravel and rock cobbles supporting little v geta- tion. (See SCS Range Condition Survey) The topsoil m terial removed and stockpiled prior to mining will be redistr buted following regrading of all slopes to 3:1 or flatter. he clay soils under-lying the gravel deposit will be chis ed to a depth of 6 - 10 inches to allow for root penatration just prior to replacement of topsoil material and fines. A 4 - 6 inch layer of gravelly topsoil material will then be ad ed to form a firm seedbed. A soils analysis will indicate t e kind and quantities of fertilizer required to help establisY} the grass cover.
