Dan hlathews <br />Colorado Fined Land P.eclamation Division <br />423 Centennial Building <br />13]3 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />Re: Bear Coal Company Mine No. 3 Flood Control Plan <br />Dear Dan: <br />As outlined in an Inspection Report dated June 5, 1984 by Roy Cox, <br />Bear Coal Company has completed a flood control plan for the North <br />• Fork of the Gunnison River which flows adjacent to Bear Coal Company <br />Mine No. 3 facilities. This flood control plan has been developed <br />from estimates of the 100 year event and existing design of the <br />channel by the Colorado Department of Highways, based on discussions <br />with Eldon Strid of ACZ Inc, on July 25, 1984. <br />The Bear Coal Company plans to complete construction of the dike this <br />fall.
