• RESPONSE: <br />The Routt County Commissioners in conjunction with the Routt County <br />Planning Commission have designated the land within the proposed <br />permit and adjacent areas to be zoned for agriculture, forestry and <br />mining. All special use permits required for TCC to conduct the <br />activities proposed in this application were approved for transfer <br />from the Energy Fuels Corporation to betty Minerals Marketing, Inc. on <br />March 22, 1983 and April 5, 1983 by the Routt County Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />Rule 2.04.4 - Cultural and Historic Resource Information <br />The application shall contain a description of the cultural and <br />historic resources listed on the national register of historic places and <br />known archaeological features within all areas proposed or likely to be <br />affected by surface activities or planned or probable subsidence, over the <br />. life of the mine. The description shall be based on all available <br />information, including, but not limited to, data of State and local <br />archaeological, historical, and cultural preservation agencies. <br />RESPONSE: <br />Prior to mining, Metcalf-Zier Archaeologists, Inc. were retained to <br />collect all available information on the known archaeological features <br />within the areas proposed or likely to be affected by surface <br />activities in the permit area, and to describe all of the cultural and <br />historic resources listed in the National Register of Historic Places <br />within these areas. A copy of the report prepared by Metcalf-Zier <br />Archaeologists, Inc. is presented in Exhibit 4, Archaeological Report. <br />• <br />2.04-10 <br />
