PROPOSED LEGAL NOTICE <br />TECHNICAL REVISION N0. 14 <br />SENECA II MINE <br />PERMIT N0. C-80-005 <br />Peabody Coal Company, with business address at 1300 South Yale, <br />Flagstaff, Arizona 86001 has filed with the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division an application for a Technical Revision to its <br />Seneca II Mine, Permit No. C-80-005. The revision includes expansion of <br />the disturbance limits in the Wadge Pit to allow extraction of <br />state-owned coal up to the current coal .lease boundaries. The <br />disturbances include relocation of an existing dragline deadhead route <br />with concommitant change in topsoil recovery and spoil handling. <br />Approximately 7.4 acres is being added to the permit area. The total <br />increase in disturbance area is approximately 26.7 acres. <br />The general legal description of the area contained within this revision <br />is described as: <br />Portions of W# Lot 6 and W# Lot 7, Section 6; W# Lot 1 and N# Lot <br />2, Section 7; all in T5N, R86W. <br />The legal owner of record of the surface contained in this Technical <br />• Revision is the State of Colorado. <br />The Seneca II Mine is located approximately 6 miles southeast of Hayden, <br />Colorado. The proposed postmining land use of the affected land will <br />remain the same as premining land use, i.e., range grazing and wildlife. <br />The USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle map, Milner, contains the described area <br />of this Technical Revision. <br />A copy of the revision is available for public inspection at the Routt <br />County Courthouse located at 522 Lincoln Avenue, Steamboat Springs, <br />Colorado 80477. <br />Written comments, objections or requests for an informal conference on <br />the revision may be submitted to, and additional information obtained <br />from, the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 215, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. <br />• <br />
