In the 1964 Seneca II Mine Anntlnl Hydrology Report, a few minor <br />changes to the hydrologic monitoring prograitt i•: requested. Based upon your review <br />of that report as described in your September 28, 1985 letter to Mr. Steve Vardiman of <br />Peabody Coal Company and more fully clarified with slight modification in your and Ms. <br />Anne Baldrige's October I, 1985 meeting at the Seneca II Mi~.•. rriTh Mr. Dennis Jones, <br />Mine Hydrologist, Peabody Coal Company, the requested changes to the permit are <br />described below. <br />A revised surface and ground water monitorinq program was submitted in September <br />1984 to the CMLR in the Mid-Term Review Revision on pages 7-10-15 through 27 of Tab <br />7. This revision also included the CMLR approved changes to the 1983 monitoring pro- <br />gram as described in Section VIII of the Seneca Mine 1983 Annual Hydrology Report. A <br />few additional changes to the monitoring program are proposed as follows: <br />I. Static water levels will be measured five (5) times a year (February/March, <br />April/May, June/July, August/September, October/November) instead of monthly at all <br />wells except pollutant plume wells GW-S31A2 and GW-533, which will continue to be <br />measured monthly. <br />2. Well GW-542 will no longer be sampled for water quality but will continue to be <br />measured for water levels. This well was pumped for a water quality sample on July 13, <br /> <br />
