1 ~ t <br />Exhibit D-Mining Plan <br />112 A_PPL.ICATION <br />COUNTY OF ELBERT, <br />STATE OF COLORADO <br />The North 1/2 of NW 1/4 Section 2, <br />Township 1ls, Range 59 W <br />PTT AREA 80 ACRF.4 <br />Location and Setting <br />This is an application fora 112 Gravel Pit to mine gravel at a site located in Elbert <br />County The Site itself is vacant rangeland. The azea surrounding the site is also vacant <br />rangeland. <br />Access <br />The Allison Gravel Pit Site is located South of the Town of Matheson Colorado The <br />North 1/2 of NW 1/4 Section 2, Township ]Os, Range 59 W. off County Rd. 149. <br />Soil Salvage <br />Prior to disturbing an area, the topsoil will be first stripped and stockpiled for use in <br />reclamation. The depth of the surface soil to be stripped will average about 2-3 inches. <br />Additional information regarding the site's soil resources is provided in <br />Exhibit I- Soils Information. <br />Stockpiling will occur near the perimeter of the area to be distributed. The Exhibit C map <br />illustrates typical stockpile placement As a stabilization measure, soil stockpiled for longer <br />than one year will be broadcast seeded with a perennial grass species. <br />Mining Plan <br />It is planned that operations will begin in Area A as indicated on Pre-Mining and Mining <br />Plan Map Exhibit C. This operation is expected to be a dry mining operation <br />The gravel will first be ripped with a dozer and either pushed dvectly into a stock pile or <br />loaded with afront-end loader in to haul trucks for transportation to roads in the <br />surrounding area for road repair.
