Alstatt, Soils Party Leader, John chmall, <br />and myself made a field trip to the site being developed for gr nite. I <br />have attached a field copy of a CO-ECS-2 form for the area bein developed. <br />The range and vegetation inventory was completed on Sz S41'~ of S C. 10! <br />There is a micro-climate change for the area looked at on Sec. 6. There <br />was too much snow on the site to see most of the understory veg tation, <br />but I would expect there to be more cool season plants on the s'te as it <br />has a northerly exposure. Some of the dominant cool season pla is I would <br />expect to find would be western wheatgrass, native bluegrasses, junegrass, <br />needle and thread grass, Indian ricegrass, and bottlebrush squi el tail. <br />I have placed an asterisk (~) on the CO-ECS-2 for the plants ha ing seed <br />commercially available. Seedling trees can be purchased from a ocal <br />nursery or the Colorado State Forest Service. I have provided u with <br />the materials you requested which includes soil and vegetative formation. <br />Eduardo (Ed) C.
