A good outline snap that includes all <br />activities such as necessary terraces or diversions is especially <br />lacking for the Kochis and West Pits. <br />4. Please reference my comment nwnber 4. in my letter of August 19, 1983 <br />,and respond for any of the pits as you feel necessary. <br />5. Please answer questions 5a.-e. for the ponds connected with the <br />Kochis and Ragains Pits. <br />6. Is the estimated life of these operations indetenninate (as is the <br />case for the other three pits)? <br />Exhibit D <br />1. Water information <br />a. Are the Perry, Jacklich and West Pits to oe mined and reclaimed <br />as dry yravel pits? If not, any exposed water must be coped <br />with properly in the mining and reclamation plans. <br />b. The ponds in the Kochis and Ragains Pits must be explained more <br />fully. My comnents about this under Exhibits 8 and C should be <br />referenced. <br />c. Is water to be used in any of these three operations? If so, <br />how much is to be used, and what is the water right involved? <br />Exhibit E' <br />1. How will the water pits (ponds) in the Kochis and Ragains Pits be <br />incorporated into the reclamation plan? <br />2. Please answer my question 2. in my letter of Nuyust 19, 1983 relating <br />to the use of topsoil in reclamation for the five remaining pits. <br />3. Reference my comment nwnber 4. in my letter of August 19, 1983 and <br />relate it to the five remaining pits. <br />Exhibit H <br />1. All five remaining applications have an accompanying perfonnance <br />warranty that is acceptable, with one exception. Each warranty will <br />need to have the leyal description for the pit added as Exhibit A. I <br />will du this for each operation (unless I get an objection to this <br />procedure from you). <br /> <br />
