Please provide the signed green cards of the certified mailing of notices to the adjoining landowners
I have not received any outside comments in regard to the application, but will Forward copies to you if any are
received. The end of the public comment period is ten days after publication of the legal notice, which according to
the newspaper clipping, would be April 26, 2002. However, it appears that it was specifically stated in the notice
that the comment period will end on April 29, 2002, so I will wait until then to respond to comments.
The items listed above aze mainly needed so that the bond amount may be estimated. Please be clear and complete
with your responses. I will begin calculating the bond based on materials submitted to-date. Upon adequate
responses being received, and the application approved, a final bond calculation will be sent to you.
The decision date is still set for May 10, 2002. If additional time is needed to prepare and submit your responses,
an extension of the decision date may be requested in writing.
in the interest of timeliness, a copy of this letter is being faxed to you, and to Scott Johnson of Summit Engineering.
A hard copy of this letter to you will follow in the mail.
Sometime this summer I will contact you about scheduling an onsite inspection of your new operation.
If you have questions or comments, I may be reached at the Division's Durango field office: 701 Camino del Rio,
Room 125, Durango, CO 81301; telephone 970/247-5193 or fax 970/247-5104.
Sincerely,
~B~ ~~ti1~
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
fax copy: Scott Johnson 719/589-6633
a:Uobins#1 paz/rco
