Pursuant to your earlier request regarding the status of various
County pits the following information is provided, Weld County requires
approval of a Use by Special Review before a gravel pit can be operated.
In those instances where a pit was in operation before the County re-
gulations were in effect it has an automatic Use by Special Review status
until it is abandoned.
All of the proposed permit locations are in the Agricultural Zone
District which permits the Special Review. Only one site (Arnusch-SE$
Section 23, T1N, R63W) appears to require the Special Review Fran the
County. The other sites (listed below) are presently authorized to
continue gravel operations under County regulations. They are:

7, Walker - NE$, Sec. 30, TBN, R57W
8, Youngland - SE$, Sec. 6, T10N, R57W
