1

' EXHIBIT B - SITE DESCRIPTION
' Vegetation on site includes switchgrass, slender wheatgrass, blue
grama, neelegrass, intermediate wheatgrass, western wheatgrass,
sagebrush, broom snakeweed, rubber ra6bitbrush, western ragweed, yucca,
cactus, and many other species not listed here.
' Percent groundcover is estimated as moderate (i.e., 50-75
percent). No unique, rare, or endangered plant species are known to
1 exist on site.
Soils on site are of the Haplustolls, moderately coarse, mearly
level series. These deep, will drained soils are on stream terraces and
' floodplains along drainageways. Typically, these soils are dark and
range from 7 to 40 inches thick. Stratification is common in the
surface layer and underlying layers. Te>:ture is variable but generally
' is sandy loam.
Permeability is moderately rapid, and available water capacity is
' moderate to low. The effective rooting depth is 60 inches or more.
Surface funoff is slow, and the hazard of water erosion is moderate.
Available growth medium ranges from O-6 inches. It will be
' salvaged and stockpiled for redistribution during reclamation.

1

t

1
