Richard D. Lamm
Governor
• iii iiiiiiiiiiiuiu
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
David H. Gatchee, Executive Director
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
DAVID C. SHELTON, Director
August 20, 198
Mrs. Rowean M. Crader
Crader Properties and Investments
28481 U.S. Highway 160
Durango, Colorado 81301
Re: Crader Gravel Pit -File No. 81-114
Dear Mrs. Crader:
On June 27, 1984, our Division received, reviewed an approved the financial
and performance warranties for the above captioned operation. These
warranties have now been passed on to our Division Director for signature and
deposit with the State Treasurer for safe keeping.
Therefore, enclosed please find two signed copies of the mining and
reclamation permit for this operation. Please sign each permit copy in the
space provided, having your signature notarized in each case. Then retain one
copy for your files and return the other to our office within two weeks. This
will complete the permitting process for your gravel operation.
Please be advised that all of your original application materials, as well as
any subsequent adequacy materials submitted by you, are considered an integral
part of your permit and are incorporated by reference. It is presumed that
you have a copy of these materials; therefore, none has been enclosed with
this mailing.
A review of our file indicates that the original Board approval of the
application for a permit for this operation set the amount of financial
warranty at $2,500.00. Since that time, the maximum amount of financial
warranty for a limited impact operation has been raised by the Legislature to
$5,000.00. I note that you submitted financial warranty in the amount of
$5,000.00. Given 9.99 acres of disturbance, I agree that the $5,000.00 amount
is correct. (Please note that I changed the acreage figure on both warranties
from 5.0 to 9.99 as was approved by the Board.)
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
