~ i
for an important trail corridor location. As part of this discussion, the City would like [o discuss further the
location of temporary easements for transitional trails during the mining phase, if needed. It may be possible
for trail activities to occur prior to final completion of all mining activity on [his parcel.
Water/Wastewater Department
The City is currently anticipating the construction of a 36- to 42-inch diameter water transmission line from
Hygiene Road to Nelson Road in 5 to 10 years. The City is proposing to construct the portion of the line from
Hygiene Road to St. Vrain Road adjacent to the western edge of Northern Colorado Water Conservancy
District's (NCWCD's) permanent easement in either NCWCD's permanent easement or in the temporary
easement located west of the permanent easement. The City anticipates that an easement with the property
owner will be required to accommodate the constrnction of this line across this property.
Although none of the proposed mining areas overlap into NCWCD's pernanent or temporary easements,
mining areas are located along the western edge of approximately one-half of NCWCD's temporary easement
on this property. The City is interested in knowing about any potential conflicts between the proposed mining
activities and construction of the transmission line on this property.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please call me at (303) 651-8448
Respectfully,
CITY OF LONGMONT
P la Fitzgerald
Parks/Recreation Projects Coordinator
cc: Danna Ortiz, Rocky Mountain Consultants
Nick Wolfram, Public Works Engineering Manager
Don Bessler, Parks and Recreation Director
Eroda Greenberg, Long Range Planner
Dale Rademacher, Director of Water/Wastewater
Jon Robb, Civil Engineer II[
