Dept. of aturel Resources
Re: "Olathe Pit" File #M-84-10~ - Response
to Letter of November 30, 1984
Dear Mr. Ioye:
I hope this letter will clarify the questions of your letter of November
30. I am aware that Terra Construction Co. must request a termi tion for
their 111 permit prior to acceptance of mine. I will call Layne ompson
and see if I can speed that along.
The proofs of publication that you requested, F~1 Harrison, d es not
border this property, nor does the U.S. Government property, al ugh a
notice was sent to the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association which is
the U.S. Government property. At one time these properties did a join
one another, however, a strip of land approximately 150 feet in w dth was
held by McCarty so he could have access to the river to water his horses.
F~chil~it 'E' was a total misunderstanding. The plant area is to be re-
claimed as part of the hayfield to the south and has not been str pped. There
is existing topsoil there as well as a stockpile of gravel. Once the gravel
operation is complete, the plant area will be reseeded as part of the alfalfa
field.
