EXHIBIT H -Wildlife Information
(a) The proposed permit area currently is vacant rangeland. 'The Wiley-Kim and Schamber
Midway soils aze limited for use as wildlife habitat because of low vegetative production.
On non- irrigated areas, these soils are best suited to habitat for such wildlife as antelope,
jaclaabbit, cottontail, and coyote. Initial wildlife impacts wili be localized and minor.
(b) The only seasonal use of the proposed permit area would be during the antelope and
small game hunting seasons. Since the proposed permit area is located on private land,
the impact on the various hunting seasons would be minimal, as hunting activities for the
general public would not be allowed at the site.
(c) District Wildlife Director, Mr. Lonnie Brown, inspected the site on November 11, 2006,
and verified that no critical or important wildlife habitats or wildlife species (pra'vie dog
colonies or T&E Species) would be impacted by the proposed operation.
(d) Due to the limited suitability of this soil Type for vegetation the general effect of the
proposed operation on the existing wildlife would be minimal. Reclamation and re-
vegetation would return the proposed permit area to the approximate previous state as far
as wildlife habitat. -There are no surface waters or impoundments located within the
proposed area of operations and as such interference with migratory routes, food or
habitat resources would be limited.
