Section IV -Standards and Specifications, Critical Area Planting - COECS-5), will be <br />followed. <br />The seeding operation shall be by drill method. As stated below in (f) (iii), fertilizer and straw <br />mulch will be used and weed control will be as necessary. Seedbeds will be firm and clean 611ed 3 <br />times. Seeding of stockpiled topsoil for stabilization will 6e broadcast and raked by hand using <br />the same recommended seed mix as above. Recommended seedbed preparation date is for <br />dormant seeding frbrn October t9 tb May }. <br />(iii) Fertilization -if applicable, specify types, mixtures, quantities and time of <br />application. <br />USDA recommended fertilizer application of 40# Nitrogen and 40# phosphate per <br />acre; certified stmw mulch to be applied at a rate of 2000#/acre; weed control will be <br />as necessary. Application of fertilizer and mulch after broadcast seed application; <br />seeding dates of Oct. 15-May l <br />(iv) Revege[ation -specify types of trees, shrubs, etc., quantities, size and location. <br />No shrub or tree species will be planted at the site. <br />(v) Topsoiting -Specify anticipated minimum depffi or range bf depUis for those areas <br />where topsoil will be replaced. <br />Stockpiled topsoil will be replaced over the pit floor and/ or compacted overburden <br />backfifl after final grade has been established to a thickness of 4 to 6 inches or more <br />ifpossibie. Topsoil will be replaced on all disturbed surfaces. <br />
