<br />Survey, with whom all reports concerning operations
<br />under the lease shall be filed. .Ail remittances to the
<br />manager of /he land office shall be made payable to
<br />the Bureau of Lard Management, those to the Geological
<br />Survey shall be wade payable to the United States
<br />Geological Survey.
<br />(J) Plars, repots, maps. Al each times and In
<br />such form es the lessor may prescribe, to furnish a plat
<br />showing deve]opment work end improvements on the
<br />leased lends end a report with respect to stockholders,
<br />investment, depreciation, aril costs. To famish in such
<br />form as the lessor may prescribe, within 30 days from
<br />the expiration of each quarter a report covering such
<br />quarter, certified by the superintendent of the mine, or
<br />by such other agent having personal knowledge of the
<br />facts es may be designated by the lessee for such
<br />pupae, showing the amount of ]eased deposits mined
<br />during the quarter, the tharecler aril quality thereof,
<br />amount of its products end byproducts dupaed of end
<br />price received therefor, end amount in storage or held
<br />for sale. To keep and prepare maps of the leased lends
<br />in accordance with the appropriate regulalioa.
<br />(g) Weigbts. To determine accurately the weight
<br />, or quantity aril quality o[ all leased deposits mined,
<br />and to enter accurately the weight or quantity aril
<br />gyalily thereof in due farm in books to 6e kept and
<br />preserved by the lessee for such purposes.
<br />(b) Inspection. To permit at all reasonable times
<br />(1) iapectlon by any duly authorized officer of the
<br />Department, o[ the leased premises end all surface soil
<br />undergrourd improvements, works, machinery, equipment,
<br />and all hoops end records pertaining to operations aid
<br />surveys or investigations under this lease; aril (2) the
<br />lessor to make copies of aril extracts from any or all
<br />books and records pertaining to operetions~ under this
<br />tease, if desired. '
<br />(i) Assignment. To file far approval in the ap•
<br />propriate land oltim within 90 days tram the date of
<br />execution, any assignment or transfer made rot this
<br />lease, whether by dived assignment, operating sgree-
<br />ment, working a royalty In[eRSt, or otherwise. Such
<br />in5humenl will take effect the first day of the month
<br />following its approval by the Bureau oI Land Manage-
<br />ment, or if the assignee requests, the (hat day of the
<br />month of approval. The showing required to 6e made
<br />with ao assignment or transfer is set forth !n the
<br />appropriate regulations.
<br />(j) Equal Opportunity clause. During the per•
<br />fonnence of this contract the lessee agrees as follows:
<br />(1) The lases will not discriminate against
<br />any employee or applicant for employment because of
<br />race, creed, color, or oatianel origin. The lessee will
<br />take dfirmetive action to ensum that applicants ere
<br />employed, end lhd employees are tasted during em-
<br />ployment without regard to their race, creed, color, ar
<br />national origin. Such action :hall include, but not be
<br />limited to the following: employment, upgradng, de-
<br />motion, or transfer, recruitment or reemitment adver-
<br />tising; layoff or lerminellon; rates of pay or other forma
<br />of compensation; end selection far training, including
<br />apyrentieeshiy. The lessee agrees to post in cohspio
<br />uous plains, available W employees and applicants
<br />for employment. notices l0 6e provided by the contracting
<br />oflicer setting forth the provisions o[ this nondiscrim-
<br />ination clause.
<br />(2) The lessee will, in all solicitations or
<br />adverlisemmts for employees placed by or on behalf
<br />of the lessee, slate that all qualified ePPlieant5 wilt
<br />receive consideration for employment without regard to
<br />rate, treed, color, or national origla.
<br />(3) T lessee wi. end to each labor union
<br />or representativ„ of workers with which he has a col•
<br />ledive bargaining agreement or other contract or under-
<br />standing, a notice, to be provided 6y the agenry
<br />conlractin~g officer, advising the labor union or Workers'
<br />representative of the lessee's commitments under
<br />Section 202 of Executive Order No. 11246 of Sep•
<br />tember 24, 1%S, and shall post copies of the notice
<br />in conspicyous Places available to employta and ap-
<br />plicants for employment.
<br />(4) The lessee will comply with ell provisions
<br />of Executive Order No, 11246 of September 2q, 1965,
<br />and of W¢ rota, regulations, and relevant orders of
<br />the Secretary of Labor.
<br />(S) The lessee will famish all information
<br />and reports required by Executives Order No. 11246 of
<br />September 24, 1%S, end by the rules, regulations, and
<br />orders of the Secretary o[ Labor, or pursuant thereto,
<br />and will permit access to his books, recoils, and ac-
<br />counts by the contracting agency and the Secretary of
<br />Labor for purposes of investigation to ascertain compli-
<br />ance with such roles, regulations, end orders.
<br />(6) In the event of the lessee's noncompliance
<br />with the. nondistriminetion clauses o[ this contract or
<br />i
<br />with any' a[ such riles, regulations, or orders, this
<br />mntred may he cancelled, terminated of suspended
<br />in whole or in pert and the lessee may he declared
<br />ineligible for further Government contracts in accord
<br />once with procedures authorized in Executive Order
<br />No. 11246 of September 24, 1965, and such oNer san~-
<br />tions may be imposed end remedies Invoked es provided
<br />in Executive Order No. 11246 0[ September 24, 1965,
<br />or by rule, rcguletian, or order of the Secretary of
<br />Labor, or as otherwise provided by law.
<br />(7) 'Ilia lessee will include the previsions o[
<br />Paragraphs (1) through (7) in every subcontract or
<br />purthese order unless exempted 6y rules, regulations,
<br />or orders of Ne Secretary of Labor issued pursuant to
<br />Section 204 0[ Exew4ve Order No. II246 of Sep-
<br />tember 24, 1965, so that such provisions will be binding
<br />upon each subcantreetot or vendor. The lessee will
<br />take such action with reaped to any subcontract or
<br />purchae order as the- eontrading agency may direct
<br />as s means of enforcing such provisions including
<br />sanctions for noncmpliance: Provided, bowever, That
<br />in the event the lessee becomes involved in, or is
<br />lhreetmed with, litigation with s subcontractor or
<br />vendor as a result of such direction by the contracting
