§2.05 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING <br />ACTIVITIES -- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR OPERATION AND RECLAMATION <br />PLANS. <br />All of the other noxious weeds will be sprayed with Curtail, 2.0 <br />oz/gallon mixed with anon-ionic surfactant at 1 quart per 100 <br />gallons of spray. It will not be applied when spray particles may <br />be carried by air currents to areas where desirable plants are <br />growing. Spraying should be pertormed when temperatures are <br />under 80° F. Spraying will be done by use of a backpack spray <br />system or an ATV mounted spray tank. <br />Oxeye Daisy can be spayed in the spring in the early flower <br />stage. <br />Houndstounge should be spayed in the spring in the early <br />flower stage. <br /> <br />Musk, Canadian and Scotch thistle should be spayed in the <br />spring during late bud to early flower. <br />Russian knapweed should be sprayed in the spring and fall. <br />Fall treatment is also appropriate for thistle rosetts and <br />Canadian thistle. <br />(vi) Measures proposed to be used to determine the success of re- <br />vegetation <br />Reclamation success will be compared against a production <br />standard. The standard will based on production measured <br />from an adjacent hayfield reference area. <br />(vii) Soil testing plan for evaluation of the results of topsoil handling <br />and reclamation procedures <br />Immediately prior to seeding, fertilizer will be applied to <br />enhance root development.
