2. The source of the "topsoil" is identical to the local "overburde ." It was
moved from our property in Section 18. There are no other stockpiles. As the
gravel ie removed from an area, the topsoil will be diatibuted over Iit and the
area will be planted with an annual small grain such as oaCS or ~atley. The
grain will be harvested each season just as it is in the adjacent 1e1ds.The
topsoil stockpile does not interfere with the gravelled access load. see
Exhibit E map for the location of the stockpile.
3. There are no overburden or waste rock fills.
4. Aa previously stated, the gravel bed is approximately 30' thick.
5. The access road is clearly marked on the Exhibit E maps, both larg scale and
small scale. There are no shops, plants, processing or office facil ties. The
mining will be accomplished by a small mobile crushing machine, on front end
loader and from two to four 10 yard dump trucks. There will be no permanent
equipment on the site. The mobile crusher will only be on location at infrequent
intervals as there is a need for crushed rock.
6. The existing road is a standard 12' wide private road. It is adequately
crowned with barrow ditches, 10" of pit run road base and 6" of crush d topping.
Culverts have been installed where necessary to carry our irrigation stet under
the toad. Culverts were installed as per State Highway requireme is at the
intercept of Highway 550. There will be no other roads or a y further
improvement on the existing road.
7. There will be no water used in conjunction with this operation.
8. There is no known source of ground water or surface water in the area.
Trumble Draw is several hundred feet to the north and west and sepa ated from
the mining area by a slight rise of about 20'. There is no runoff or sediment
that will be produced.
9. The Crusher is mobile and will be moved from South to North a5 the need
arises. I~
Exhibit D - Reclamamtion Plan
1. As ennumerated in item 2, Exhibit C above, the topsoil will be sprad as the
area is mined and planted to a commercial crop. The objective of th s project
ie to produce more useable farm land. The mining of the gravel bar i merely a
secondary concern, not involving any major commercial endeavor.
2. The maximum gradient of the reclaimed area will be as close to 1:1 as we can
make it. We irrigate with 1(4 section center pivots and the more evel the
land, the more effective the irrigation.
3. There will be no ponds, streams, roads or buildings remaining after
reclamation.
