Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Timm C. Comer -5-
CLOSURE
July 21, 2005
053-2399
The results of the geotechnical stability review conducted for the SGOSA facility indicate that the
observed surface cracking 'and measured deformations are the result of normal and expected
settlement of the overburden materials, and are not due to global instability. The observed settlement
and cracking is considered normal for a facility of this size with fill thicknesses on the order of
400 feet.
Golder understands that CC&V has initiated an overburden monitoring program for the SGOSA.
Golder further understands that annual stacking plans are being developed for the SGOSA to assist
with mine planning and development of a stable overburden facility.
If you have any questions or cottmtents regazding this letter report, please contact me at
(303) 980-0540.
Sincerely,
GOLDER ASSOCIATES INC.
John F.
