Dear Mr. Gesso:
This Office has forwarded to the Denver Office the above reference application with a note to review the
hydrology issues and Exhibit G. Some staff members in the Denver Office have the expertise to review the
hydrology for this site better than this Office. The Denver staff has requested that Banks and Gesso submit
a plan for the hydrological study for Haldorson prior to any initiation of fieldwork. The plan should state
clearly the purpose of the studv and define in depth the methods that will be used to accuire data. This will
ensure that the study adequately addresses all parties' issues including DMG, Water Resources and the
objectors.
Also, staff needs to continue the review process and cannot do so until it has received responses to the
initial PAR. This Office is requesting that Banks and Gesso address the PAR of 6/23/03 as soon as possible.
All other information requested. alone with env other responses to identified issues. must be to this Office by
September 15'", 2003 to ensure proper time for review by staff. If staff does not have adequate time for
review, the applicant will either have to extend the Decision Date or a decision to deny the permit may be
necessary due to the inadequate information to finish the review.
