' VIII. EYHIB[T L - RECLAiV[ATION COSTS
' As described in Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan. and as shown on Figures F-1 and F-2.
Reclamation Plan Maps. the proposed reclamation will consist of either an open water lake or
a water reservoir. Both conditions will include a reclaimed shoreline seeded with native
grasses as shown on Figures F-l and F-2. Along the Cache La Poudre River, trees and shrubs
' will also be planted with two inch caliper cottonwood trees planted randomly to appear
natural, but on average on d0-ft centers. Because of the open water reclamation of the
majority of the acreage within the site, most of the site will not be seeded, but wilt be
' submerged. The following assumptions were made to develop the reclamation cost table,
Table L-l, presented below:
^ The total site area is 69.89 acres, of which a maximum of 50.34 acres will be disturbed
1 if the Ogilvy Ditch remains in-place, or a minimum of X9.91 acres will be disturbed if
the Ogilvy Ditch is relocated. Total acreages of 14.5 and 19.98 would constitute
undisturbed training area perimeter (setbacks and minimum Cache La Poudre River
' buffer zone) for in-place and relocation scenarios, respectively.
' ^ Overburden backfill will be at 3:1 (H:V). Topsoil will be placed and slopes reseeded
and fertilized, and also mulched, above lake pool elevation.
' ^ No reseeding will be performed on the lake bouom or other submerged areas that are
expected to consist of low permeability claystone bedrock or permanently submerged 3:1
' backfill slopes, respectively.
' ^ Reclamation will be concurrent with mining. Reclamation earthwork costs assume that
at any given time during peak mining activities that a maximum approximately 35-acre
' phase is mined out requiring regrading and seeding of a maximum of one-half of its
perimeter. At the same time. the adjacent approximately l5-acre phase is assumed to be
stripped of topsoil requiring only regrading, topsoiling and seeding.
^ All mining will be done with portable eyuipmen[ and field conveyors that, if left
' abandoned, would be reclaimable at no cost ro DMG based on the salvage value.
^ The Rzady Mixed plan[ will also he portable and, if left abandoned, would be
' reclaunable at no cost to DMG based on the salvage value.

i8^7~iiiiii ' b
