It was our intention to try and
control the small storm run off below this road
in the immediate area of the gravel pit to help
reduce the erosion. We were aware this culvert
sizing would not carry the flows of a sizable
storm but felt it was not a problem to retrieve
the small culvert and repair this crossing after
a large storm. At this time we are not mining
gravel from the Fondis pit and were intending on
repairing this crossing immediately before re-
turning to the mine to extract gravel. We will
increase the size of the culvert and install this
structure as soon as possible to handle the 25
year 24 hour event per our calculations which are
included for your review.
Proposed Repair Date: No later than December 31,
1990.
