i <br />~~, <br />4.30 CESSATION OF OPERATIONS <br />~- <br />Doc Date:12/11/2001 <br />If, for any unforeseeable circumstances, temporary cessation of <br />mining and reclamation operations at the Colowyo operation becomes <br />necessary for a period of thirty (30) days or more, Colowyo will <br />submit to the Division a notice of intention to temporarily cease <br />or abandon mining and reclamation activities. This notice will <br />include a statement of the exact number of acres which will have <br />been affected in the permit area prior to temporary cessation, the <br />extent and kind of reclamation of those areas which will have been <br />accomplished, an identification of backfilling, regrading, <br />revegetation, environmental monitoring, and water treatment <br />activities that will continue during temporary cessation. <br />4.30.2 Permanent <br />At the permanent conclusion of surface mining operations, Colowyo <br />will close, backfill, or otherwise permanently reclaim all affected <br />areas. The reclamation plans are set forth in Section 2.05.5. The <br />projected postmining topography is set forth on the Postmining <br />Topography Map (Map 19). <br /> <br /> <br />Colowyo will remove any equipment, structures, or other facilities <br />at the conclusion of mining activities and will reclaim the <br />affected land. <br />iii iii~iiii iiiiii <br />4.30-1 <br />
