A private residences <br />north of enderson Road is theme on permanently occupied struc- <br />ture presently in the flood plain. <br />Brantner Gulch drains a•9.7 square mile undeveloped area <br />west of the mining site. Flows in the gulch O~'r'uY intermittently <br />and in response to snowmelt or rainfall. The discharge of Brantner <br />Gulch could be expected to range from 0 t•_ as much as 4300 cfs, <br />the estimated peak for the 100 year flood if the basin were to <br />become developed. <br />The Brantner and *_he Lower Clear Creek ditches traverse <br />the western part of the property (Figure4 ). Lateral:; from these <br />ditches have historically irrigated part of the mining site. <br />Water generally flows in these ditches during the growing season <br />from April through October. The ditches intercept storm runoff <br />and transport water northward from th. property. Brantner Gulch <br />is the only .~atercourse which carries water onto the property from the <br />west. Other irrigation structures in the vicinity of the mining <br />site include the Fulton and the Bu11 ditches. These two dicc]iEs <br />irrigate Viands on the east side of the r~vcr. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
