RECLAMATION PLAN
Top soil will be stripped from the first 3/4 acre Phase and stockpiled at the perimeter of
the extraction site of the last 3/4 acre Phase to create a visual screen. The topsoil
stockpile will also be shaped to form a crescent shaped catch basin to collect all run-off
generated on the 9.55 acre site, and will occasionally collect water for livestock and
wildlife.
Each successive phase will have approximately 12" of top soil stripped and deposited
on the previous phase. The rehabilitated site will be shaped with slopes at a maximum
of 13%.
The shape will result in a natural appearing valley approximately eight to ten feet lower
than the original contour. The plan will result in no more than 1.5 acres being disturbed
at any one time. The life of the quarry is estimated to be approximately twenty (20)
years.
Rehabilitation of the site will be concurrent with each 3/4 acre previous phase being
mulched and reseeded with native grasses (See Soil Conservation Report). The
estimated cost to restore vegetation for each rehabilitation phase should not exceed
$1,000.00.
RECLAMATION COST ESTIMATE
• 9 Hr.
