Box 229 <br />Boulder, Colorado 80302 <br />RE: Board action taken at the August 25, 1977 Pfined Land <br />Reclamation Board PSeeting on Flatiron's Application <br />Numbers 77-77, 77-78, 77-79, 77-80 and 77-81 <br />Dear Plike: <br />This is to verify the action taken by the Board at the above <br />referenced meeting. <br />The five applications listed were delivered to this office on <br />April 29, 1977 along with Compliance Plan data for eight other <br />operations and an amendment request for the Wliite Rocks operation. <br />The Board was notified at the August 25 meeting Chat the 120 days for <br />consideration was soon to expire and your office expressed their <br />desire t}~at the applications be reviewed and considered at the meeting. <br />Of the eight operations identified for tlTe compliance plan, three have <br />already been released and the remaining 5 have been determined by tl~e <br />Board as containing a total of 43 unreclaimed acres. Ptr. Ed Plc Dowell <br />expressed a willingness to keep those Five remaining operations under <br />the Compliance Plan. This decision allowed the Board to proceed with <br />corTSideration of [he five applications, File Nos. 77-77 thru 77-81. <br />After much discussion, the Board approved CITe application for the <br />Arapahoe Pit, File 1177-77, with the condition tlTat the maps be revised <br />to reflect the 85 acres applied for in the operation. <br />TITe four other applications, 77-78 - 77-81, were continued until a <br />special Board meeting on September 2, 1977. <br />The staff position Baas Chat the}' could not recommend approval of the <br />four applications in their current state but that with the review <br />time allowed by a continuance, the applications could be revised. <br />This continuance was agreeable to your company, Che staff, and the Board. <br />
