Box 229 Boulder, Colorado 80302 RE: Board action taken at the August 25, 1977 Pfined Land Reclamation Board PSeeting on Flatiron's Application Numbers 77-77, 77-78, 77-79, 77-80 and 77-81 Dear Plike: This is to verify the action taken by the Board at the above referenced meeting. The five applications listed were delivered to this office on April 29, 1977 along with Compliance Plan data for eight other operations and an amendment request for the Wliite Rocks operation. The Board was notified at the August 25 meeting Chat the 120 days for consideration was soon to expire and your office expressed their desire t}~at the applications be reviewed and considered at the meeting. Of the eight operations identified for tlTe compliance plan, three have already been released and the remaining 5 have been determined by tl~e Board as containing a total of 43 unreclaimed acres. Ptr. Ed Plc Dowell expressed a willingness to keep those Five remaining operations under the Compliance Plan. This decision allowed the Board to proceed with corTSideration of [he five applications, File Nos. 77-77 thru 77-81. After much discussion, the Board approved CITe application for the Arapahoe Pit, File 1177-77, with the condition tlTat the maps be revised to reflect the 85 acres applied for in the operation. TITe four other applications, 77-78 - 77-81, were continued until a special Board meeting on September 2, 1977. The staff position Baas Chat the}' could not recommend approval of the four applications in their current state but that with the review time allowed by a continuance, the applications could be revised. This continuance was agreeable to your company, Che staff, and the Board.
