This
stockpile, labelled LL on the attached revised Exhibit
• 12-1, Uperatiurls Plan, is to be used for storage of
topsoil salvaged during prestripping in the 4ladge and
during construction of the recently approved 007 pond.
The proposed stockpile at the designated location rill:
1. Minimize haul distance;
2. Store excess material that cannot be direct hauled at
present;
3. Be very close to where we will need to be using the
material in future retopsoiling activity.
The stockpile is to be located on regraded spoil. This
pile will contain an estimated 40,000 cu. yds. of
material. Once established the stockpile will he
stabilized by seeding a cover crop of annual grains
followed by application of Seed Mix No. 3 during the first
available seeding season.
As described in Tab 13, page 13-6, to further aid erosion
control, hay or straw bales or small ct(eck dikes v+ill be
used, when needed, to direct runoff around the stockpile.
Three copies of revised Exhibit 12-1, and the Application
Fornl fur a Revision to a Coal Mining and Reclamation
Permit are enclosed.
IJ00 South Vele
Flagsla ll, Arizona 86001
(602) 77<~6253
•
