The attached photo also shows the D9L <br />scraper pit area which is currently being graded. <br />Portions of the D9L area are ready for topsoil, In order <br />to maximize the direct haul and replacement of topsoil <br />from the Wolf Creek area to the D9L area. Peabody wishes <br />to reestablish a scraper road as shown on the photo. The <br />road will follow the alignment of a road which was <br />reclaimed in 1982. <br />Peabody proposes to blade the topsoil from the proposed <br />road in a windrow along the scraper road. The windrow of <br />topsoil will then be cover cropped using seed mix No. 4. <br />Topsoil would be transported from the Wolf Creek area to <br />the D9L area and immediately redistributed over regraded <br />spoil. When direct haul topsoiling is completed from the <br />Wolf Creek area to the D9L area (anticipated in Autumn, <br />1987), the scraper road will be scarified and the <br />windrowed topsoil will be redistributed. The scraper road <br />would then be revegetated in accordance with the approved <br />mine plan. <br />C~ <br />
