will bewindrowed/temporarily stockpiled adjacent to the pad. Following completion of the well work, a portion of
~ the expanded azea may be reclaimed, with remaining topsoil being added to the existing topsoil stockpile. The
topsoil and reclaimed azea will be seeded and stabilized using the pastweland see mixtwe.
Railroad Suur Extension Area -Covers 2.75 acres and is located west of Pinnacle Peak adjacent to the raikoad
embankment. A portion of this exemption is a seeded topsoil stockpile. All water drains to the south and is filtered
through a silt fence located west of the extension. The azea below the silt fence is vegetated and serves as a
vegetative filter. Peak flow from this small azea is approximately 4.4 cfs, as previously approved in the original
submittal under the C-81-071 Permit.
Warehouse/Shoo Area -Covers 5.88 acres and is located on a north facing slope below the shops. Water
(approximately 0.15 acre feet from the 10 yeaz-24 how event) drains through established vegetation, gathers along
the railroad track embankment, and runs along ditch F-2 towazd the culvert under the light-use road adjacent to
Pond F. The water impounds before the culvert before flowing through the culvert. Once through the culvert, it
will flow down the north side of Pond F and the light-use road/railroad embanlmient. The azea is vegetated and
serves as a vegetative filter to inhibit flow. There will also be a rock check dam, which will additionally filter
surface runoff prior to exiting the site.
Stoker Coal Loadout -Covets 1.8 acres and is located north of the Old Equipment Pazking Lot and adjacent to the
raikoad tracks. Sediment control in the area consists of a berm and rock filter located on the west side of the bench,
./ and a rock filter on the north side of the railroad track. This will control any potential surface runoff' from the
bench azea.
Warehouse Area #2 -This small area consists of approximately 1.5 acres located between the Stoker Pad exemption
and the WarehouselShop exemption. Drainage from this area is for the most part dead (i.e. static), and any flow from
i the area would be serviced by either the Stoker Pad silt fence or the wazehouse exemption rock check dam.
Tiuale #2 Loadout Tunnel -Consists of small disturbed azea surrounding the tunnel on the east side as identified on
Permit Renewal Map 5 (Roads, Powerlines and Facilities). The surrounding area is well vegetated and rock/gravel
filter dams have been installed in the ditches along the railroad track. This Small Area Exemption was approved by the
CMLRD on June 23, 1988 with MR 88-27. Runoff from this 0.10 acre exemption would be negligible from a 10-yeaz,
24-how event.
Pond B Access Pad -Comprises some 0.3 acres adjacent to Pond B. The azea is gently sloping, with heavy vegetative
cover on adjacent areas bordering Foidel Creek, acting as a filter to prevent sediment contribution to the stream. CYCC
will also construct a berm and rock filter to further control and treat the anticipated 0.01 acre feet of runoff, which may
be generated by the 10-year, 24-how event.
Pond D East Area -Covers 0.7 acres adjacent to the emergency spillway, overland conveyor, and the haulroad.
Runoff from this area flows along the haulroad, and collects between the haulroad and the Pond D embankment
immediately to the east of the culvert, which conveys Pond D discharge to Foidel Creek. The area is vegetated, and
will have a stung and rock filter to treat the anticipated 0.04 acre feet of runoff, which maybe generated by the 10-yeaz,
24-how from the SAE.
Pond D West Area -Covers 0.7 acres between the haulroad and pond embanlanent dischazge point, along with a
portion of the overland belt. CYCC proposes the use of a rock filter to treat any of the anticipated 0.04 acre feet (10-yr.
24-hr) of runoff from the area.
Pond F and Wastewater Treatment Facility -Covers approximately 5 acres and is located southwest and northwest
of Pond F and consists of 0.5 acre paved pazking lot and slope which drains down to the west embanlanent of Pond F
and the outslopes and tops of the ponds of the waste water treatment system Also, the building and roads associated
with the treatment facIlity aze located in the SAE. The building pads and roads are graveled, which min;mi~e the
TR 0515 2.05-81 Revised -January 2005
