In response to the Inspection Report prepazed by Toay Waldron at the Division upon completion of the
October 26, 1999 Division inspection, Robinson Brick Company submits the following weed control plan.
This plan will serve as the basis for diffuse knapweed weed control during the 2000 field season and
beyond as and if required. ,
Methodology
Areas infested with diffuse knapweed within the DDD mine permit boundaries will be sprayed by a
contractor experience in these matters. The liquid application will consist of 1 pint Torden/acre and I
pound 2.4 D/acre. Currently, during the 2000 field season, it is estimated that approximately 20 - 60 acres
will be sprayed.
A contractor will be scheduled to start spraying during late Mayor eazly June, 2000, weathez permitting.
The results from this initial spraying will be evaluated later in the summer of 2000 and secondary steps, if
necessary, will be taken as required.
During the eazly spring on an annual basis, Robinson Brick Company will inspect the DDD Mine permit
area to determine if additional spraying or other weed control measures; such as mowing, aze required. If a
knapweed problem continues, Robco, will take whatever reasonable steps aze necessary to eliminate these
problems. If, for whatever reason, Robco is not able and/or successful in controlling the knapweed .
problem at the DDD mine, Robco will contact the Division for further assistance.
