I understand your question about the organic material in the
topsoil and agree with you that there is possibly a deficiency
in the existing top soil. However I feel it is cost prohibitive
to import manure or other organic material at this time. The
remote location of the quarry makes this very cost prohibitive,
Dotsero will attempt to improve the organic content of the
topsoil by seeding the stockpiles with 4 lbs/a c. of Western
Wheatgrass if they are not to be disturbed for 1 year.
2. We inadvertently omitted explaining the 3 to 5 inches of
growth medium will be placed on 12 to 18 inches of cinder
material where bedrock will be exposed. This will give
additional root zone for plant establishment.
3. The slope from the original grade will be between 2h to lv and
3h to lv from the top of the existing slope to the bottom of
the mine. The nature of the cinder material dose not allow
terracing or benching of the slope. Reclamation of this
slope should not be any problem since the existing slopes are
in that general range.
4. At the current time there are 7.00 to 9.00 acres of disturbance
on the site. This is well with in the total allowable of
15.00 acres ± outlined in the bond needingresoiling. Reclamation
has commenced to reshape the area disturbed and not actively
being used for material storage or overburden storage. It is
