f 59
• t
2.1x105ftZ. Dowmrard flow from this body of alluvium is estimated to be
441 ft3/d or only 2.3 gpm. This small water loss from the stream-alluvial
aquifer system will have no impact an water levels or water quality in
either the alluvium or the stream.
MONITORING PROGRAM
The future monitoring program will be centered around the deternination
of water quality in the stream and the adjacent alluvium. Alluvial weds
• AL 1-1, AL 2-1, AL 3-3, and AL 4-2 will be sampled quarterly. The water
quality data given in Appendix E, Table Elconstitute the results for the
1~ first quarter of the monitoring program. Concentrations of dissolved iron
~ and manganese are expected to be relevant, but the steel casing is likely
J~ to cause the total concentrations of these two elements to be unrealistically
large.

• At the same times the alluvial wells are sampled, the stream adjacent
to each well will be sampled also. In addition, the stream will be gaged
~ by a current meter to determine the discharge.
• I-
