~J
decreasing water levels until 1985 when some rise in levels through 1986 was seen.
Affects of poor well completion have been responsible for these changes. Increases
in 1985-1986 occurred after mechanical bailing of the well for development purpose.
ALLUVIAL AQUIFER
Two alluvial wells are monitored in the operational mine area dwells GBB3 and
J1). Figure 4.8-27 presents water-levels monitored in well GBB3. Levels have
remained fairly stable through the period shown 1982-1986. Water levels in Johnson
Gulch alluvial well, J1, are presented in Figure 4.8-28. Except for the September
1986 measurement, the plot shows steady water levels for the period 1983-1986 in the
J-1 alluvial well.
~ BACKFILL AQUIFER
•
Well GFS was completed in the backfill aquifer in an area where the HI seams
were mined. Figure 4.8-29 shows that the water level in backfill well GFS has
steadily risen since its installation.
i
4-226 dd
REVISED fEB 13 '87
