Long <br />µ'y PP 9 Y Division Director <br />Deaz Mr. Blake: <br />The application for a Reclamation Permit for this operation was deemed adequate for technical review on <br />February 27, 2002. Before a decision can be made on your application the following items need <br />clarification, Please provide a response to each item prior to Mazch 29, 2002. If you aze unable to fully <br />respond to [his letter, please contact me requesting continuance of consideration to a later date. <br />Please be advised that your application may be deemed inadequate and your application may be denied on <br />Mazch 29, 2002 unless the following adequacy review items aze addressed to the satisfaction of the <br />Division. Please provide an original and one copy of your response [o this letter. <br />EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan <br />1. If the mining operation is expected to occur at [his site less than 180 days per year, add such a <br />statement to this exhibit to prevent having to provide notices of " temporazy cessation "and comply <br />with the rules pertaining to that mining status. <br />2. you have indicated that topsoil is already stockpiled within the proposed permit area. Is i[ stabilized <br />so that it will not be subjected to wind or water erosion? If it is not and it will be used for reclamation, <br />state how it and other salvaged topsoil will be protected. <br />3. Will the existing hauUranch road have to be improved for Lincoln County to conduct [he proposed <br />mining operation? If so, it must be added to the proposed permit area. <br />4. Will your operation be in compliance with Colorado water law in cegazd to storage of water that may <br />accumulate in the gravel excavation azea? <br />5. You have stated that some of the proposed permit azea has been previously disturbed by mining <br />operations. Will all of [he previously disturbed azea/s be disturbed again under your proposed <br />operation? Show on [he mining plan map [he limits of the previously disturbed azea as well as the <br />the limits of your proposed operation and label them. <br />EXHIBTT D -Reclamation Plan <br />6. What is your plan for reclamation of the river channel? <br />7. What thickness of plant growth medium will be replaced on any areas from which [he topsoil has been <br />or will be removed? <br />
