The Subirrignted <br />Shrub reference area did not meet the equivalency test. Refer to Table 2.6-49 <br />for a summary of equivalency for cover, production, and density for the <br />various vegetation units. <br />At the time this study was conducted, the choice of reference areas was <br />based on general topography, species composition, and cover aspect. <br />It is not an uncommon notion in ecological literature that cover is <br />often correlated with biomass. Thus, every effort was made to ensure that <br />representative areas were selected.
