PUBLIC NOTICE H-G Coal Company (HGCC), has filed with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (CDMG) a Request For Transfer of Coal Permit and Succession of Operators for the Hayden Gulch Mine, Permit No. C-80-003. This transfer is within the provisions of the Colorado Surface Mining Act of 1977. (Act). HGCC was granted Permit C-80-003 on January 4, 1981and has renewed the pettnit through a series of permit renewal applications. The most recent permit renewal was approved on January 4, 2002. HGCC wishes to assign Pertnit C-80-003 to the Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. (HGTI). Permit C-80-003 currently covers 8.9 acres; located on four small pazcels in Sections 30 and 31, Township 5 North, Range 88 West of the 6~ P.M., all in Routt County, Colorado. As the Successor, HGTI will assume responsibihty for all outstanding reclamation obligations covered under the existing reclamation plan. The Hayden Gulch Mine is located approximately 11 miles south of Hayden, Colorado, along Routt County Road 53. The USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle map entitled Hayden Gulch, Colorado contains the permit azea. The general legal description of the permit area is: TSN, R88W (all of the 6~ Principle Meridian) Section 30, Portions of NEl/4 Section 30, Portions of Sl/2 Section 31, Portions of NEl/4 Section 31, Portions of W1/2 Containing approximately 8.92 acres, all in Routt County, Colorado A copy of the Transfer Request is available for public inspection at the Routt County Courthouse, • located at 533 Lincoln Ave., Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
