Every possible means will be taken to m;n;m;~a any possible distwbance to the hydrologic
balance by exposing only minimal amounts of surface area at any given time. Efforts will be
made to keep all sloping at 3:1 or less during the mining operation. The soil in the area of the pit
is a >>rst draining type and run off should not be a problem, but if needed any area that shows
signs of erosion wiU be seeded with a fast growing seed mixture to stabilize it.
The primary commodities will be sand and gravel with no secondary.
EXHIBIT D
Reclamation Plan
Reclamation of the area will be on going during the life of the operation with sloping and planting
as areas of the pit are completed with the removal of the material. Sloping will be at 3:1 or less as
these areas of the pit are mined out. Topsoil and overburden will be salvaged and stockpiled for
use in reclaiming the area and will be spread at a depth of 6 inches and chiseled ht along with eery
augmentation recommend by the N.RC.S. If these is not sufficient topsoil in the area to be
stocl~ile far reclamation it will be imported. Stockpiles will be seeded, if needed; with a fast
growing seed such as Prosso millet to help stabilized the scopes as wets as the stockpile until
reclamation commences following dte recommended plan by the N.RC.S. if revegetation does
not occw on it own.
There will be no construction of any structure on the property, therefore no buildings will be left,
and there will be no depressions left that would leave a pond area, unless the landowner should
request a berm or depression be left to hold water for livestock.
Every effort wilt be made to maintain the hydrological balance to m;n;m;7n the: amoum of
exposed surface as mining moves from the south to the north. The soil in the a~'ea is porous aad
should drain any normal precipitation. Any Planting that does take place will fi~llow the
recommendations of the NRCS to include any augmenting prior to planting.
EXHIBIT F
An A.P.E.N. permit is the only other required permit for this operation and an application was
submitted prior to this permit
EXHIBIT H
The town of Genoa Colorado is located 1.5 miles to the east of the area. Phone number is 719-
763-2313, Address of 305 Main Genoa, Colorado 80818.
EXHIBIT L
These are two fences located within 200 feet of the operation. They will not lae adversely affected
by this operation nor will the stability be affected as the major part of mining will be away from
the fence.
