Box 1299
Paonia, Colorado 81428
ATTN: Ms. Kathleen G. Welt
Environmental Specialist
Dear Ms. Welt:
Enclosed is the report of our cultural resources inventory of CWI's
proposed 46kV powerline. One historic site with a prehistoric component
was recorded (5DT778); however, as the centerline of the powerline was
moved to the east side of Steven's Gulch, the site will not be impacted
by the proposed construction. It is our recommendation that no further
archaeological research is necessary.
• By copy of this letter, we are transmitting copies of the report to
the Bureau of Land Management, Montrose District, and to the Office of
Archaeology and Historic Preservation.
An invoice will follow shortly.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact this
office.
Sincerely,
Paul R.
