Blair Mesa Gravel Pit, Rio Blanco County, M-96-082
Dear Mr. Squire:
Based on our telephone conversation the following information is provided to clarify our
application for the referenced permit.
Exhibit E (2)(f)(v) is modiSed to read, "All available topsoil will be placed in one lift over all areas
of the affected land."
The "Typical Strata Cross Section" drawing shown on the Reclamation Map is intended to
represent a typical cross section following reclamation. At your request we will place at least four
feet of cover over the bedrock strattun.
Concerning drainage in the pit area we will create positive drainage on the site to preclude standing
pools of water that tend to leach salts from excavated and reclaimed areas. We will take steps to
manage runoff so as to preclude any silt loading in the White River. The details of our drainage
plan will be included th the Stormwater Management Plan submitted to the Colorado Health
Department.
Lastly, if these comments meet with your approval I will send a Reclamation Bond th the amount
stated in our application. Fiease contac[ me as to our approval date, Tuaid.- you for your
assistance.
Sincerely,
etmis M. and
Vice President
BLAfRMES.DOC
~1-
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER +~r
