Elk Creek Mine Subsidence Page 17 February 26, 2003 <br />Figure 6 indicates that the weighted average 58$ sandstone <br />• recorded in the borehole logs (Table 2) predicts a 17.5° mean <br />angle of draw (Abel & Lee, 1984). The use of a 35° angle of draw <br />conservatively extends the predicted area of longwall mining <br />induced subsidence effects to a greater distance beyond the <br />surface projection of the longwall panel mining boundaries, <br />approximately 558 greater, than predicted by the 17.5° lithology <br />based angle of draw. <br />'• <br />'• <br />-i7- <br />
