<br />INTRODUCTION <br />Pursuant to Rule 2.08.5(2)(a) Colorado Yampa' Coal Company <br />(CYCC) is seeking a renewal of Permit C-81-071 by'submission`of <br />this permit renewal application. Five copies of the permit renewal <br />application form with original signatures are enclosed along with <br />two complete copies of the permit renewal application document. <br />CYCC is seeking a permit term for reclamation through 1993 and <br />for the remainder of the bond liability period. CYCC wishes to <br />clarify that the information herein applies specifically~to the <br />currently approved operation which is now undergoing final <br />reclamation. <br />CYCC has followed the format approved for the original permit <br />renewal application submitted in 1987, which entails the submittal <br />only of those pages necessary to update the permit as opposed to a <br />complete re-write of the permit document. Those pages being sub- <br />mitted may either be retained as a separate document or inserted <br />into the body of the existing permit document depending upon your <br />preference. <br />The recently completed midterm review process and Technical <br />Revisions entailing the transfer of facilities to Twentymile Coal <br />Company this past year have resulted in a recently updated permit <br />document. The enclosed pages as such reflect the required updates <br />in information which CYCC has identified as still needing to be <br />addressed. <br />Permit Renewal Map #2 (Surface Ownership) has been updated <br />and is enclosed. Please note that this is NOT a new map created for <br />and by this renewal application, but is intended to update the <br />previously approved Permit Renewal Map #2 as submitted with the <br />Midterm Review. Permit Renewal Map #1 (Permit Boundary and <br />Reclamation Liability) has recently been updated, and therefore has <br />not been included with this submittal. <br /> <br />
