6. Rio Blanco County Impacts and Environmental Impacts <br />The impacts to Rio Blanco County will be limited. Minimal dust is expected from the operation <br />due to the wet nature of the pit and roads being watered as needed. Only one new access road <br />will be required to access the eastern phase of the pit as shown on Maps C-2 and F. Traffic will <br />enter County Road 5 then access Highway 64 and will travel primarily south on County Road 5 <br />but could go in either direction depending on sales. No new impacts to county services will <br />occur. The long term effect of the operation will be beneficial to the environment by providing <br />an aesthetically pleasing lake with a wetland fringe that can be used by wildlife. Impacts to Rio <br />Blanco County and the surrounding landowners are discussed in detail in the Special Use <br />Application. <br />White River City Pit December 06 D-10 <br />
