RF~FI\/FD <br />Introduction <br />DEC 2 7 2006 <br />Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety <br />The White River City Pit is located approximately 16.75 miles west of the town of Meeker, <br />Colorado in Rio Blanco County. Connell Resources, Inc. will be the operator of this pit and will <br />place the reclamation bond with the DRMS. <br />The permit azea will be 92.74 acres on land which has historically been used to grow grass hay <br />and graze cattle. The disturbed azea is 42.8 acres and the pit life is expected to be approximately <br />3.5 to 4 yeazs. After excavation and reclamation, the pit will have a flat usable azea above a lake, <br />which will improve wildlife habitat for the property. The initial reclamation bond for the site is <br />estimated at $64,000. <br />The permittee for this site is Connell Resources, Ino. The name has been shortened throughout <br />this application to Connell Resources or Connell. <br />The Piceance Pit is a small pit located approximately 1/2 mile west of the site and is operated by <br />Rio Blanco County. <br />White River City Pit December 06 i-1 <br />
