It is loca Y.ed Lk, [dL~, 57, TbN, R65fd
of the 6th Pt•t. and is the total 80 acres +. The life of the mire is
expected to be somewhere in the vicinity of 20 to 25 years. The: gravel
will be mined in 2 or 3 acre increments. All top soil will be ::tripped
and stockpiled during the mining operation and used to rehabilitate the
mined area.
The area is presently being dry land farmed and is in winter whl>_at and
fallow strips.
l•lildlife involved in the area would consist of a few passerine ]girds
and an occasional pheasant. Antelope may use the area on rather rare
instances, however, not on~a regular basis.
There are no threatened or endangered species involved.
In conclusion, it would be recommended that the rehabilitation could
include some shrubby coverplants, which would create habitat for pheasants.
DB/edy
cc: Joseph Surprenant
1025 Hillcrest Drive.
Ft.
